DESTRUCTION, GOREFEST Confirmed For Germany's DEVIL'S REVENGE Festival

June 30, 2007

DESTRUCTION and GOREFEST are among the confirmed bands for the Devil's Revenge Festival, set to take place December 29, 2007 in Lichtenfels, Germany. The festival billing is shaping up as follows:

DESTRUCTION
GOREFEST
EVOCATION
DEMONICAL
IMPERIOUS REX
DEATHRONATION

DESTRUCTION's "Thrash Anthems" album, a collection of reworked/re-recorded versions of the band's classic tracks, was released in January via AFM Records. The CD was recorded at House of Music Studio in Germany) and Little Creek Studio in Switzerland with almost the same team that worked on the group's "Inventor of Evil" CD: DESTRUCTION's live sound engineers Gerd Krenz, Franky Winkelmann and GURD/POLTERGEIST mastermind VO Pulver. The tracks were mixed by one of the best metal producers in Europe — Jacob Hansen, the Danish producer and INVOCATOR singer and guitarist.

GOREFEST's new album, "Rise to Ruin", has had its U.S. release date pushed back to September 25 from the previously announced August 28. According to a posting on the reactivated Dutch metallers' web site, the delay is due to the fact that Candlelight Records USA has taked over distribution of the CD from Nuclear Blast America.

A brand new GOREFEST track, entitled "Revolt", has been posted on the band's MySpace page. The song comes off "Rise to Ruin", which will be released in Europe on August 3 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was mixed by Danish producer Tue Madsen at his Antfarm studios in Århus, Denmark. "He managed to make everything sound even heavier than we'd imagined," guitarist Frank Harthoorn previously said.
